Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering and Technology Programmes

Age Limit

There is no age limitation.

Nationality

The candidate should be an Indian citizen

Education Qualification

The applicant must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.

 

For Pharmacy and Pharm D Programmes

Age Limit

There is no age limitation.

Nationality

The candidate should be an Indian citizen

Education Qualification (Pharmacy)

The applicant must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology.

Education Qualification (Pharm D)

The aspirant must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology.

And

Candidates having Diploma in Pharmacy from a State Board affiliated institute can also apply.

Exam Syllabus

The MHT CET usually consists of three question papers. Each paper is of 100 marks and is 1.5 hours long.

•  Paper I:  Physics & Chemistry (50 marks each)

•  Paper II:  Biology (Botany & Zoology - 50 marks each)

•  Paper III: Mathematics (100 Marks)

All questions need to be answered. Answers are to be marked in an OMR sheet with a black ball point pen only. There is no negative marking. For Engineering/Technology degree courses one should appear for Paper I and Paper III and for applying for a Pharmacy degree course one should appear for Paper-I & Paper-II and/or Paper-III. The syllabus for the Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics papers for the MHT-CET will be the same as for the HSC Examination of HSC Boards of Maharashtra for that particular year.

There are separate competent authorities for the selection procedures for every course:

  • Health Sciences courses: The Director, Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai
  • Engineering and Pharmacy courses: The Director, Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai
  • BVSc & AH degree courses: The Registrar, Maharashtra Animal and Fisheries Science University, Nagpur
