The Graduate Management Aptitude Test or GMAT is a computer-adaptive practice examination, which checks the skills and aptitude of the candidates seeking admission to top business schools located in English speaking countries. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), which is the global non-profit council of business schools, conducts the GMAT exam to evaluate a person’s analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills. The leading business schools and management education programs accept GMAT scores globally. This exam is proved to be the most effective predictor of students’ performance.

Eligibility Criteria

The GMAC has not set any educational qualification to appear for GMAT examination. However, the GMAT scores are used to get admission to Postgraduate and Master's degree programmes, hence, ideally, the taker should have a Bachelor's degree. Besides, the candidate should be at least 18 years old. Those applicants who are between 13 to 17 years of age are required to submit a written form signed by a parent or guardian.

Application Details

The candidate can schedule GMAT exam online by using his/her phone, postal mail or fax as well. The candidate needs to pay the GMAT scheduling fee using his/her credit card or debit card, cheque or money order. The candidate will receive a confirmation mail on his/her email ID.

Register via Online Mode

The candidate should visit the official website of the GMAT i.e. www.mba.com and create an account. After registering, login to the portal and follow the homepage link.

Register via Phone

The candidate can also call to the GMAT Customer Service in the nearest region. Remember, the candidate may be charged an additional service fee of US $10.

Register via Post Mail

Fill up the online application form available on www.mba.com and mail it along with the payment receipt.

Register via Fax

Fill up the online application form via visiting www.mba.com and fax the number shown on the screen. The candidate is required to mention his/her name, date of birth, nationality and gender etc.

EXAMINATION FEES

The candidate can schedule GMAT examination by making the prescribed scheduling fee of US $250.00.

Exam Syllabus

The GMAT exam will comprise of Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, and Verbal.
