CBSE, which earlier conducted AIEEE and IIT-JEE separately, has now combined the two examinations into one, the JEE. It consists of two papers. Students can opt to write any one, or both the papers. Paper 1 is for B.E/B.Tech course admissions and Paper 2 is for B.Arch/B.Planning course admissions.

JEE Main is spread over three parts-Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and is divided into four different sets- E, F, G, and H. The students can check the official answer keys for all the sections. The exam is three hours long and consists of 90 questions.
